Following the immensely popular Beethoven Marathon in 2013 and Schubert Marathon in 2014, 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne is proud to present a 14-hour Brahms Marathon. Taking place on Sunday 22 February between 9am and 11pm, this event promises to be a highlight on the Melbourne music calendar for 2015.
Across seven 2-hour sessions, you’ll hear 50 of Australia’s finest chamber and vocal musicians performing 45 of Johannes Brahms’s greatest masterpieces, including the gorgeous clarinet quintet, the serene piano Intermezzi, the vivacious piano quintet, the mammoth Handel Variations and Fugue, the Four Serious Songs, and much, much more.
